Where’s The VAR Guy: Disney World or VoiceCon?
Rumors are circulating that The VAR Guy has skipped VoiceCon in Orlando to spend the day with Mickey Mouse over in The Magic Kingdom. Mickey and The VAR Guy go way back; they’ve been spotted together at least 25 times in the last 10 years.
The VAR Guy is believed to be staying at a hotel that’s equidistant from VoiceCon and Disney World.
While attempting to exit his hotel this morning, The VAR Guy was spotted wearing a suit with sneakers—suggesting that he’s torn between attending the formal event vs. walking the big theme parks today. Although The VAR Guy’s suit was freshly pressed (a strong indication that he has business meetings today), one witness spotted Mickey Mouse sunglasses on the dashboard of The VAR Guy’s rental car.
After climbing into the rental car and driving toward the hotel exit, The VAR Guy first signaled his car “right” toward Disney World then “left” toward VoiceCon. His ultimate destination remains unclear, though The VAR Guy has promised to check in around 5:00 p.m. eastern today with an answer.
UPDATE, 6:50 p.m. eastern: The VAR Guy just returned from VoiceCon and was spotted blogging in his hotel lobby. Alas, the Disney theme parks close at 8 p.m. No time for the roller coasters tonight.
But wait: VoiceCon’s show floor is closed Thursday and The VAR Guy only has a few meetings through mid-afternoon. Perhaps he’ll be able to sneak over to the parks before heading back to New York Thursday evening.
Personally, I would have driven right past VoiceCon and headed for Epcot
Assuming tvg (the var guy) only has a few hours left in florida why would you ever recommend “Epcot”????? Everybody knows the best two rides are tower terror and rock roller coaster at disney-mgm. plus great parking close to the theme park entrance. he can be in and out of the park before his bosses even notice he’s off email, assuming he doesn’t have a pda with him. epcot is for losers.
So you’re in orlando with a few hours to kill. var guy your destination is obvious. skip disney and go to universal studios to ride the bigger coasters with shorter lines.
