ConnectWise IT Nation Connect Partner Reviews a Mixed Bag
ConnectWise IT Nation Connect 2021 is a wrap. The event was filled with lively discussions on cybersecurity, M&A activity and 2022 predictions. The event kicked off with an opening keynote featuring a series of new product developments and program announcements key to the company’s MSP customers.
These included the introduction of the Asio platform, and various cybersecurity and information security investments. Also included were the new ConnectWise RMM solution, the Modes Theory methodology, and several others.
We wanted to learn what MSPs and others in attendance thought of how the announcements and updates might impact their businesses. So we sat down with several partners at the ConnectWise IT Nation Connect to get their take.

After viewing the slideshow and comments, I’d grade the headline of this article a mixed bag – not quick click bait, but smells clicky none the less – I expect better of you guys. The commenters you presented were positive in general, and the glaring negatives were aimed at the overall industry, not CW specifically. The keynotes that CW gave were a bit mixed and seemed like it wasn’t quite ready for prime time – not unlike the world the past 18 months, so allowances should be given.
I’ll give my $.02 – IT Nation Connect was a success and worthwhile investment for me and my company to attend. Lots of solid content, some actionable information – shout out to Paul Dippell, and the marketing content really helped solidify some of the things we do, and gave clear direction to correct some things that need improvement for our own marketing efforts. Cybersecurity was on the docket, and they delivered with solid content.
One negative would be that vendor breakout sessions are no longer clearly denoted as such. One was so bad most of the audience walked within the 1st 15 minutes – i blame the heavy handed sales push in the session, not CW. The vendors pay good money to display their wares, so it is fitting that they can lead some product focused sessions – i’d just like them to be presented as such.
Todd, I completely agree about the breakout sessions. In previous years there were always vendor led sessions but there was also a healthy mix of sessions led by MSP senior staff members, panels, etc.
