DigitalOcean is raising $83 million to take on Amazon Web Services. Business Insider is hearing that DigitalOcean has closed a Series B funding round, reportedly worth $83 million. The infrastructure as a service provider has already raised a $37 million Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz last year.
Engine Yard Unfurls Deis PaaS for Docker on AWS. Engine Yard has made its PaaS for building and deploying applications based on Docker containers available on Amazon Web Services. Engine Yard CTO Gabe Monroy told Talkin’ Cloud that Deis is the only PaaS environment built completely on Docker.
