NTT Com Shifts Focus to Sub-Agents, Enterprise Cloud Updates
More than two years after launching its Global Solutions Channel Partner Program, NTT Communications is shifting its focus from master agents to sub-agents, and readying the channel for updates to its Enterprise Cloud offering, according to an announcement this week at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo this week in Las Vegas.
After exceeding its goal of on-boarding 15 master agents, the program is shifting its focus to sub-agents, and making an enhanced Enterprise Cloud available for resell in 2016, according to the company. The program is tailored to the US market.
Enterprise Cloud Updates Coming
Available to its partners later this year, the Enterprise Cloud enhancements offer more capabilities around private cloud, expands the open source architecture of its public cloud for cloud-native ICT, and SDN-based configuration of both. It also includes a new unified cloud management platform.
“Forward-leaning enterprises are looking for just these exact kinds of capabilities,” Vince Bradley, CEO of telecom master agent WTG said in a statement. “A hybrid cloud that blends traditional and cloud-native ICT with free connectivity and an all-in-one management portal is exactly what our partners’ customers have been looking for.”
Investments in Education, Training to Support Channel Partners
Focusing on its sub-agent network, NTT Com expects to accelerate investment in channel partner education and training in order to ensure sub-agents are ready to take advantage of new business opportunities based on reselling NTT Com’s suite of cloud, network and data center services.
NTT Com said in a statement that preliminary results of channel partners in the US have resulted in contracts with “large, global enterprise clients.”
“Working with one of our master agents deepens the value that sub-agents bring to their customers,” Rob Westervelt, NTT America Vice President and General Manager, Indirect Global Solutions said in a statement. “In partnership with our master agents, NTT Com offers sub-agents a broad range of professional services to help them design optimal solutions for their customers and expand their service offerings. Leveraging some of the most scalable, reliable and secure cloud solutions in the market, sub-agents can help their customers reduce operating expenditures and communications costs, simplify billing and increase productivity.”
NTT Com said it has 140 interconnected data centers, a private network in 196 countries and 14 data centers serve as cloud computing delivery centers as well.
