IP Telesis Adds CFO, VP of Sales
IP Telesis (Booths 306-308), a wholesale VoIP services provider, announced the addition of industry veterans, Gene Nielsen and Dan Guenther to its executive management team.
Nielsen was hired as the new CFO to manage the daily operations of the IP Telesis finance and accounting department and to head up mergers and acquisitions as IP Telesis prepares for its coming expansion. Nielsen joins IP Telesis most recently from serving as COO for a major division of Motorola Inc., a leading software provider to the criminal justice and public safety sector. Nielsen, a CPA, brings more than 25 years of leadership in finance, operations, IT, sales and human resources, including top positions with CRISNET and Anderson Corp. He also has significant federal contracting experience for the U.S. Department of Labor, served as a peer reviewer for the Securities and Exchange Commission, and is a graduate of Leadership Utah, a leadership training program offered by the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
IP Telesis also has added Guenther as vice president of sales. Guenther brings more than 10 years of sales management experience in the software and telecommunication industries to his new role. Prior to joining the IP Telesis team, Guenther was the director of channel sales for LignUp, a VoIP softswitch company. As a founding member of LignUp, Guenther was instrumental in creating valuable partnerships with many traditional telcos and ISPs looking to migrate their networks over to VoIP. Prior to LignUp, Guenther served as vice president of international sales and business development at FatPipe Networks, where he led the effort to create an international channel of distribution and reseller partners. Guenther also held executive positions at MicroMuse, Northrup-Grumman and GE Capital IT Consulting.
