Virtual Computer Offers NxTop For Desktop Virtualization Free
Virtual Computer, which specialize in virtualization, is announcing a free download of their NxTop software. It'll be available on June 15th. Read on for the feature set and see if NxTop's free offering can help you out…
NextTop is a PC management platform, which is designed to make managing PC's easier than traditional virtualization technology. NxTop's software voodoo allows for hardware, OS, apps and user data to be managed independently, all while being scalable. NxTop is built on two parts: NxTop Engine and NxTop Center. NxTop Center lets admins create a single master image that's maintained through a web console, and then push various patches, policies and core apps to specific end users. Plus, NxTop integrates with other leading virtualization technology.
NxTop features a bare-metal client-side hypervisor, compatibility with all types of computers, and is uniquely designed for rollout to user communities. There's no expiration date on the free download, but it's limited to 5 users only. When the download is ready, you can check it out here.

Did they go commercial ? Playing very very hard to get !!!! Im sick and tired of non existing links downloads etcetera … This way you or they what so ewer forcing the user to look and get the pice of tools from some not legal sites even if is so called open source ? Im frustrating and confused ! Free is not equal free, on paper maybe so, but in reality you end up stuck, so yo use non legal tools and os ! Thank you very much Open Source, Redmond has won again !
Steve,
NxTop contains a mix of open source and proprietary software. Our use of open source sofrware is in full compliance with GPL and other open source licenses.
In additional to making any of our derivatives of open source software available to the community, we have also taken the additional step of offering a free version of our commerical product, which includes our proprietary software.
We do require a registration in order to access our free product, but we have kept the process streamlined to the point where access to the software is immediate upon registration.
I hope this helps clarify any concerns you have.

Hello Again ! Im no satisfied with the ansver ! You maybe opensource and GPL and so … but im take a look on file hosting services and found some interesting pice of soft even hypervisor to download at once that is open source and guess what they will charge you for access ! You or i must be stupid for paing access for something that is actualy or shuld be free to use and sooner or laiter yours be available to! Why ? Many of us do not agree with that kind of open source half way policy and someboy will post zour soft to general public use, let have everbody fun not only the priviledged ones ! Another thing, i have registered acount by given you required info, but the robot will not let me in saying register again ! And guss what i receive more spam today ! I have in no way agree that my ebox is to be spamed ! So much abaut registered comunity and your account policy ! Im very interested in bare metal hpervisor becose i do not have a enterprise class computers and servers that can run owersized server virtualzation software thay is awailable to general public but none of them suit my purposes and needs so must be bare metal to have some performance ! I need bare metal hypervisor to run maximum of 3 guest on commmon computer with enough ram for testing and educationaly purposes and to have ms os ready when i need it, becose it is crashed 1 time to many as native host os due to whel common known reasons ! Only for that reason im interested in virtualization and it must be open source ! Im not what so ever suporting piracy but im only pointing at the confused situation for what reason may someone do something that is not or against software lincese ! Its happening every day ! So if your software is partialy comercial then maybe is not open source(free for every one) ! I will not post comments eny more, so you can mail me download link or not ! Either way i will find come kind of solution that works for me, even if that means some heavy work to do and educate my self ! And belive me i will not post it, becose open source comunity is not eny more what is use to be !
With regards Steve !
